Vertex Top End Piston Kit provide everything you need for your top-end rebuild, eliminating the hassle of sourcing components separately. Kit includes a Vertex piston, rings, wrist, pin, circlips and a top-end gasket kit. Exact fit A, B, or C pistons match the cylinder bore perfectly to maximise power and performance. Kits are available for both 2-stroke and 4-stroke applications. 2-stroke applications include a wrist pin bearing. 4-stroke applications include a Hot Cams cam chain.
VERTEX PISTON KIT
As the OE supplier of two-stroke pistons to KTM, Vertex pistons has an outstanding reputation for quality and performance. Each gravity cast piston is created with only premium aluminium alloys utilising a 12-21% silicon content. The silicon content in Vertex pistons is crucial to the quality of the piston. Silicon is critical in decreasing thermal expansion which, when an engine reaches normal operating temperatures, can change the geometry of the piston. Controlling this expansion means that a Vertex piston can be run at tighter tolerances for more power, less noise and a longer lifespan of the piston. Plus, the silicon content decreases wear on the piston skirt which also aids in the life of the piston. In addition to the silicon, each Vertex piston utilises a unique Molybdenum Disulphide (MOS2) coating which aids in the break-in process and reduces overall wear.
VERTEX GASKET KIT
Vertexās top end gasket kits are designed for tackling the job of replacing a piston. Each set includes the head, base, exhaust pipe, and power valve gaskets necessary for a top-end rebuild. Formed rubber valve cover gaskets are not included. Multi cylinder applications include all necessary components to rebuild all cylinders.
